The relationship between client and therapist is one of the strongest predictors of how helpful therapy will be. Fit is not a luxury. It is part of the treatment.

Signs of a good fit

You feel listened to, not lectured. You understand the plan, even if it changes. You can disagree or give feedback without worrying about the therapist’s reaction.

When it isn’t working

It is okay to say so. A good therapist will welcome that conversation and, if needed, help you find someone better suited to your needs.

Our free consultation calls exist for exactly this reason. Ask questions, get a feel for us, and decide from there.
